A Message from Combat Stress

As you will be aware, this year marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day, a moment of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices made by those who served. To commemorate this special occasion, Combat Stress is relaunching our Brew and Bake – a nationwide initiative encouraging people to host coffee mornings to raise funds for veterans’ mental health for VE Day 80.

I know that many in your community have strong ties to the Armed Forces Covenant and a commitment to supporting those who have served. We appreciate your dedication to ensuring veterans and their families feel valued and we would love your help in making Brew and Bake a success in your area.

The official Brew and Bake date is Thursday 8 May 2025 – aligning with the VE Day anniversary – but events can take place whenever works best around that time. Whether through hosting a coffee morning, sharing this opportunity with others, or encouraging local businesses and groups to get involved, your support would mean so much to veterans in your catchment and across the UK.
