Please Check Your Boundary Hedges
We have received a number of complaints from residents about boundary hedges overgrowing onto pavements in and around the village.
If you have a hedge bordering a footpath, please take a few minutes to check where your property boundary is and whether your hedge extends beyond it. In many cases, hedges have grown up to three feet over the pavement, leaving very little room for pedestrians, wheelchair users, people with pushchairs and those with mobility aids to pass safely.
Most hedges respond well to a good trim, so although it may seem a little drastic, a thorough cut back will not cause any lasting harm and will help keep our pavements safe and accessible for everyone.
Thank you for helping to keep our village welcoming and accessible.
