Erewash Core Strategy

Latest update on the position regarding the Core Strategy:

Dear Sir/ Madam

We are writing to inform you that at the Full Council meeting held on Thursday 22 January 2026, Councillors voted to withdraw the Erewash Core Strategy Review under Section 22 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. This means that the Council is no longer promoting housing development at the sites allocated by this document.

Ahead of the Council starting work on a new Local Plan, please notify the planning policy team if this is no longer the correct e mail address for your organisation, and we will update our records accordingly.
